Hi,

Creating a sense of trust among your customers is huge. Especially when it comes to attracting a new customer. When dealing with online merchants, my personal belief is that 'trust' is amoung the top three factors that will win or lose a customer.

How do you create trust?

A couple methods I use:

1) I belong to the BBB (Better Business Bureau). It costs about $300/ year + $150 a year for the online program. Seems like a lot, but I tell you, it has made a huge impact and differentiates me from many competitors.

2) I subscribe to www.alertsite.com - For around $24/ month they monitor my website for potential hacker vulnerabilities. Online visitors really like seeing this logo.

One more thing, a favor. BBB has a new rating system and I can improve my rating by having some positive feedback. If you have a minute, please go to this link and help make me look good :)  http://data-boston.bbb.org/reports/compliment.asp?FirmID=109976

Hope you had a nice holiday... I find myself craving another 4 days off!

Thanks,

Aaron

My business is very, very small, and I do most of my selling by word of mouth.  This is because I am unable, physically, to cart around boxes, set up a booth, etc.  Because of the personal contact with my customers, I believe they come to know and trust me.  In addition, I attend to what few complaints that come my way as soon as possible.

Nevertheless, I must iterate brandygirl's opinions of you, Aaron.  You are a truly remarkable person and a joy to work with.

Peace and Health to You All,
Rolayne
