BIG SHOW ON FRIDAY
Wow - it feels like it's been a while since we've been in touch. We've
been having an amazing summer and hope that you have too. We're
pleased to say that now we're coming back with, well... a bang. We've
got lots of news, so let's start with the big one. We are playing one
of DC's coolest stages this Friday 8/8/08 at Rock and Roll Hotel. Yup,
you heard that right, ROCK AND ROLL HOTEL - one DCs premier music
venues. We're fairly giddy, and just a little dizzy, with anticipation
on this one. We have an amazing set lined up with our two good friends
Ian Walters and Ken Wenzel laying their helping hands on keys and
saxophone. If you've ever seen what those two can do, then you know
what a treat it's going to be to jam with these guys. Also on the bill
are our good friends The Differents, which deserves a big sentimental
footnote as this will be the first time our two bands are playing a
show together. How cool is that? It's going to be an amazing night and
we really hope that you can make it. Honestly, we owe you a big thanks
for helping us to get this gig. Word's getting around town that Whiz
Bang Three has a kick-butt cadre of loyal fans and that's the kind of
news that club owners love to hear. You rock.

ON THE AIR
We were recently featured on a great podcast put out by Insomnia Radio
Baltimore. The program's co-host Tim has been very supportive and
encouraging, including making some very kind comments on the air. Our
favortie quote: "That song was playing and it hypnotized me. I was
hypnotized." You can check out this rockin' program over at

ON YOUTUBE
You can check out a cool lo-fi rendition of 'Give Take Stop Fake'
recorded late one night at the Palace of Wonders. Troy was out that
evening, but good friend of the band Adrian of the Difefrents was
there to fill in. (Yup, that's the same "Adrian of the Differents"
that we'll be playing with on Friday!) If you like, have a gander at

HAPPY OCCASIONS
Troy got married! Does that mean that we are now his lovely wife's
band-in-law? That and other mysteries of the universe can be
contemplated while reading over entertaining local coverage of the
days leading up to their Buffalo, NY wedding at
http://www.buffalonews.com/lifearts/lifestylenews/story/392846.html.
(Congrats you two!!!)
Jeremy got written up by the Smithsonian staff newspaper, the Torch.
It's an awesome in-depth interview that we've archived on the google
group page. Go to
http://groups.google.com/group/whizbangthree and
click on the pdf file and you'll find everything you ever wanted to
know regarding Dr. Kinney on page seven. (If you got an earlier email
on this subject, that message was a total accident - sorry for the
mistake!)
Love ya,
Curren, Jeremy, Maureen, Mike & Troy
