Peel the tape off once the paint dries. I removed all the strips easily and was rewarded with sharp, clean lines. Despite spending so much effort taping everything on, it was quite satisfying taking them off!

Spring is in the air, flowers are in bloom, and new life is eagerly anticipated! This month my office hosted a surprise baby shower for one of my colleagues who is expecting her first child. Using elements of design to match the dcor of her planned nursery, we focused on the theme of geometric animals in various shades of blue.
I was responsible for floral arrangements, so I ordered flowers from Fabulous Florals and had them shipped to my house. The company specializes in bulk flower sales, which is very beneficial to the non-trade public who may not have a wholesale license or live within close proximity to a flower market. The prices are understandably a bit higher than in-person flower market shopping, but the convenience of having them delivered to my home rather than making the trip into downtown Los Angeles was well worth the extra cost. The online ordering process was easy, the flowers arrived on-time, were well-packed for shipping and were received in excellent condition.
The table centerpiece arrangements were assembled using the onyx Oasis Essentials square design bowl, which I purchased through Marshall Floral Products. I used stocks of blue delphinium and white dendrobium orchids to establish the center height, and white mums and carnations to anchor the base. For foliage I used Dusty Miller, and some greens from my own garden including rosemary, vinca leaves and pittosporum.
For the cake table arrangements, I used some great geometric-shaped vases. These were all 3-D printed handcrafted designs from two Etsy shops. The black faceted vase was made by Honey and Ivy, while the three-vase collection was made by Sturgeon Designs. This was the first time I had used 3-D printed vases, so to be sure they would not leak, I left some water in them overnight. They all did just fine.
A second colleague assembled pyramid dcor shapes, painted blue and yellow hexagon wall plaques, stitched a needlework design of geometric animals, and purchased a faceted elephant bank, to decorate the gift table.
The cake was a custom design from Jeseca Creations, and a true work of art! Not only did it look fabulous, but it was tasty as well, with layers of chocolate/raspberry, and Meyer lemon. The cake was a big hit, and we had several guests asking for seconds!

Bohemian design, when it comes to lighting and fixtures, revels in the eclectic, embracing a whimsical mishmash of textures, colors, and patterns. In this style, light fixtures become the jewelry of a space, each one telling a captivating story of wanderlust and artistic flair. Bohemian lighting invites you to break free from the rigidity of conventional design where every lamp and pendant adds a touch of playfulness to your living spaces.

Bend Seating products are made for indoor-outdoor use. To maximize the lifespan of coating, we recommend you store it in a dry, well-ventilated place during the time when the products are not being used, and ensure it is protected from any knocks and bumps. To prevent scratches and water retention, we recommend that you do not place decorative objects or flowerpots on tables. Please avoid stacking your chairs upside down on tables. Use the glides to protect the furniture feet as well as floor surfaces. These pads prevent any degradation or damage to the feet resulting from contact with the ground. Clean off any traces of bird droppings as quickly as possible, as these can be damaging and may lead to the corrosion or staining of your furniture. To Clean: Metal furniture can be cleaned using either clean water or water containing a non-detergent soap. The furniture should then be wiped dry to remove. Abrasive sponges should not be used to scrub the furniture, and no abrasive powders or other types of detergent should be used. Scratches and Rust: Any scratches should be quickly treated. If rust begins to appear as a result of a scratch or bump, apply an anti-rust product such as Rustoleum as quickly as possible, and then repaint the area. If treated correctly the furniture should last for many years.
Trophy heads made from metal, not animals. We have taken organic shapes and created digital versions that are represented in a mathematical, engineered form. The shapes may look simple but in actuality they are created with bends and angles that are complex formulas. The trophy heads are the perfect objects to decorate your home with a little humor. Or if you like, use them as a hook.
I had the idea of a collection of geometric animals a couple of months ago, when I was thinking of how to decorate a room. I bought an iPad last year and started using Concepts, so I thought it could be a great opportunity to explore the possibilities of this app.
Using these images as inspiration, I drew some sketches by hand to begin to get accustomed to the shapes of the animal. Since I wanted the animals to be drawn surrounded by something that evoked their natural habitat, I also drew things like waves, forests, and trees.
Every time I felt I had found the right elements to compose my drawing, I made a final drawing on paper in which I tried to trace the lines as geometrically as possible. Here you can see the final sketches of each animal.

Anyone that does as many woodworking projects as I do can relate to the fact that my workshop is overflowing with scrap wood in all different varieties, shapes, and finishes. I decided to use some of it up to create geometric wooden wall art for my kids for Christmas presents and settled on some animal shapes that they like. I cut pieces of my scrap wood into various puzzle-like blocks that fit inside of printed out animal templates. I added a mitered frame around the plywood backing that gave it a polished finished and took the project from scrap art to wall art. This was a simple way to use up extra wood that was going to waste and create unique, handmade art for special gifts.
I have a huge collection of scrap boards leftover from other projects and I searched through my collection for boards to use for the pieces I needed in my project. I chose contrasting toned boards for the project to give the animal shapes depth and interest.
I used a planer to get my boards to the same thickness for the project so that the animal shapes would have an even, level surface on the plywood backing. I wanted this look for my finished project but if you prefer that some of the geometric pieces sit higher or lower than the others, I think that would also look cool and interesting.
I cut my boards into different shapes and angles to begin laying out the animal patterns on my templates. As I worked, I needed to make small adjustments by sanding and cutting the pieces several times to get the right fit within the pattern. I covered the templates with angled pieces to create my animals. I started with the outline to get the general shape and then cut random pieces to fit inside the pattern.
I used wood glue to secure the pieces from the animal-shaped templates to the plywood backing. I transferred the pieces one at a time from the pattern onto the backboard. It was much easier to stage the pieces first and then transfer them than to try to glue them as I went.
I used my saw to create four mitered pieces for a frame for the plywood art and give it a finished, polished look. I attached the four pieces of the frame with wood glue and used a pin nailer to hold them together while the glue dried. Use a miter saw or table saw with a miter gauge to create your frame for the size of your plywood backing.
