Hello Everyone,

I need some advice.

What options are there currently available for small companies that want to monitor and control Internet usage?
I know there are many commercial software solutions however for a small company the cost of implementing these commercial solutions  is prohibitive.

Does anyone know of of a cost effective application that will provide basic functionality and at the same time not break the bank?

Regards,
Dave

Those will be my "free" / low cost options and they both can plug into
a linux gateway firewall / proxy. Now what if you do not have that and
cannot afford a Windows alternative?

Then your $299 will get you a 25 user licens of http://www.software602.com/store/lansuite.html
- Trust me It works well and you can add sites at your leasure....

I know Smoothwall Corporte guardian or SmoothGuardian will do the trick - it is quite cost effective.

Any vendors out there that provide Fire Proof  Safe's ?

I can only find one ( Fischer safe and security ) i am sure there has to be many more out there that provide for this kind of requirement.

The safe will be used for storage of confidential documents/Media/Tapes etc etc

I'm aware of Chubb having quite a nice one. What I found out when I
was hunting around is a fire rated document safe, is not going to keep
your magnetic media cool enough, so one has to find a Media rated
firesafe which comes in around 2x the price.

We use a Chubb media-certified safe.
