Kathy, thank you for your phone message the other day.  I had been hoping that I would be able to pop-in and surprise you all tonight, but I really just don't have the stamina to do it.  I don't know why this is taking so long to get over.

I marked a line of text in our book which caught my attention.  Page 152, second paragraph: "But Polly's mind never entirely recovered.  In the month's that followed, she suffered from a torpor of intellect. "

Scheesh - I'm afraid I can relate.

Myrna, thank you for taking my place as discussion leader.  I will be there in spirit, even though it be somewhat torpid.
