Multiscale Elevation Percentile tool always crashes

Hello all, 

I've been testing out some tools, and Multiscale Elevation Percentile tool always seems to crash in the initial stage (binning data). I was wondering if this is only my case.

I tried with default settings and sample DEM  "West Timor – elevation Data (3mb)" from https://sagatutorials.wordpress.com/downloads/

Tested on 3 different computers and all crashed. 

Any clue?
