Hey guys,

Sorry for the short notice, but a couple things I'd like to do at the
meeting tomorrow.

1. I want to create some profiles to place on the new site, so I'd
like to interview each of you that show up for 5 minutes.

2. I'd like someone with a long involvement with the project to sit
down with me for 15 minutes or so to go over contributors.

3. Can someone bring a nice camera? I want to take pictures of the
people from which I've collected profile info, but don't have a decent
camera. So look nice for picture day!

4. I would also like to get some nice photos of the major components.
If they can't be on hand at the meeting (or if I can't get a camera),
I would like someone to sit with me for 15 minutes or so and help
round up and explain any existing pictures.

Anything or anything we can't cover can be done at the next meeting,
but I hope to have the new site ready to launch in about a week and a
half or so and begin to focus on directing people to it.

And, as always for PR stuff, feel free to tell me to come back later
if you're busy with more important things and feel free to let me know
how you feel about any of these ideas.

Thanks,
Joseph

I'm a bit sleep deprived and (finally) on pain meds (another kidney stone) but I'll chip in a few notes.

Occulus is a pretty nice camera and can be used in offline mode for a bit if necessary (I'm pretty sure).  It's a nikon DSLR with a good indoor lens and full manual controls.  You can do some DOF with it if you like.

There are likely a TON of whitestar pics in the flickr channel; once you see the hardware you should be able to pick them out.  I'm not sure but I think there are likely some photos from before the occulus implementation so I'll let others speak to that.

I'm somewhat time-challenged myself (too many pans in the fire - a chronic problem.  Doctors say it'll likely stop about 6 or 7 months after I die) but I'm experienced in social media, photography, photo editing, writing/editing, graphic design, and other related skills.  If I can chip in a bit here and there while you lead the effort I'd be delighted to help; I just can't promise the time you're going to need to spend on this.

Thanks for taking some leadership on this.  I look forward to helping out as much as I can.  I should be at the space tomorrow.

I'll try to be there tomorrow, work has been crazy these past couple
of weeks, so I'll see what tomorrow brings... If I can come I'll bring
my camera, I've got a nice lens thats good for portrait shots. I can
shoot some video too if wanted.

The occulus is not the worst camera on the planet.....

Thanks everyone! If I didn't get you tonight, I'll get it at the next
meeting.
