White Star SpeedBall-1 Balloon Launch Possible Thursday

Hello All,

     White Star's SpeedBall-1 Balloon may take off into the Jet Stream Thursday evening 3/24 around 9PM Eastern Time (0100 UTC 3/25)  

Weather changes may still scrub the launch. 

Backup launch days are this Friday and Saturday Evenings.

Current destination is likely Northern Africa or Southern Europe.

Live video of launch and mission control will be available via the LiveStream link on that page.  News on the right side of the page is the latest available information, which comes through our Twitter: @LVL1whitestar  Expect another email a few hours before launch with more information.

Expect the tracking page to look like we're flying in the next day, as we test the balloon electronics for flight.  To tell if we're really flying or not, look at the big heading on the tracking page, it will say TESTING if we are doing that, and SPEEDBALL-1 if we're flying.  You'll also get an email from this list when we take off.
