Hi!

If the glimpse into the Pine Knoll Shores development has made you curious about the history of White Pond and Nine Acre Corner, check out the link below with lots of interesting history, stories and legends. You'll read about the pirate's treasure that some say may still be buried somewhere at the bottom of the pond, the origin of neighborhood street names, the colonial farmers and the deep history of the Native American presence. When we lived on Bolton St we were fascinated by the rich past of this community.

Also a new Concord video from Partnership of Historic Boston:
What happens when a storied town in Massachusetts, one of the first English towns founded by the new colony, decides to challenge the myths of its history? What are the debates, discussions and struggles that take place when you seek to challenge received wisdom - without throwing out all of the colonial past? Life-long Concord resident Joe Palumbo, historical interpreter and guide, explains why Concord no longer believes its 1635 settlers were the “first” residents.
