It's been an eventful summer at the Pond, with good news on water quality and challenges on people management. Below is a summary of our articles on friendsofwhitepond.org.

Since at least 2015, Town Committees and residents have called for a functional people management plan around White Pond. This year, the Town eliminated the one part-time Ranger position that included Pond areas.
White Pond has successfully mitigated harmful algae blooms thanks to reduced fertilizer use, maintaining septic systems, controlling shoreline erosion, crowd control at Sachem’s Cove and—most notably—the deployment of the A-Pod system. But clean water at White Pond is not guaranteed.
