So my husband is just now getting into making his own (and driving me nuts with it...lol) So as a surprise I would like to get these barrels for him. How does everyone like their barrels????

mine is great!

I bought a 2lt one that i use for port.
I'm kind of dissapointed that I didn't buy more at the time (I'm in australia so the shipping can take a while).
With mine, I noticed that with the large amount of liquor to wood ratio, the wood flavour gets taken on very quickly, so if i had to do it again, i would have used a cheap white rum (after soaking the water inside it) for about 2 batches. the first 2 will take on the flavour within the first week or 2.
