Hello Scouts and Scouters of Jamboree Troops 1632 and 1633, Parents
and Friends,
On the tour in New York City and Washington DC we are staying at the
same hotels as in 2005. Information on the hotels can be found on our
blog at
http://jamboree2010.blogspot.com/
Also on the blog - we are taking pre-orders on dinner in Philadelphia
from the Bagel Factory. Feel free to email
wbjam...@gmail.com with
your choice by July 5th. After July 5th anyone that has not done a pre-
order will get the Philly cheesesteak on a sourdough roll dinner. We
are required to submit our pre-order two weeks before we leave.
We will use the blog to post updates on our travels. We place new
information on it often. Don't just check it out, go ahead and click
the "Follow" button on the right below the picture and get emails when
we make new posts.
We will have the ability to send short text messages. Send us the
phone number if you want a text message.

Patches/T-Shirts/Stuff - we plan to have everything around July 1st.
We will separate them out by Scout into grocery paper bags. We will
give the orders for Troop 175, 121, and 508 to Mark and Joey to
distribute. Harry and Brian will keep the rest to distribute. While
Troop 42 is not meeting July 5th, Harry and Brian will hold court at
St. Andrews Monday July 5th from 5pm-7pm. Feel free to come by and
pick up your orders at that time. If you cannot make it we will have
them for the July 12th meeting. Please note Hats and nametags will be
distributed at the airport July 21st.
--------------------------------
Money on the trip - please let us know if you want us to hold money
for any Scout and if so how you want to distribute it on the trip.
There are many options on money this year from cash to pre-paid debit
cards. Your choice.

We are loading our Jamboree gear on the Council Trailer July 17th -
Camp Wisdom. This activity is for our Adult Leaders and Senior Youth
Staff. Anything that goes on the trailer must be at St. Andrews July
12th. Each Monday from now to the time we leave we will be preparing
our gear for transport - cleaning, checking, shrink-wrapping. Feel
free to come by and help between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
-------------------------------
Duffle Bags - Word to the wise, have your large duffle bag packed and
delivered to Troop 42 or Troop 175 at their meeting July 12 (T42) and
July 13 (T175).

Uniform Patch -
Every uniform going to Jamboree must have the Jamboree Council Strip.
Remove the Circle Ten standard strip currently on the uniforms and
replace them with the Jamboree Council Strip you will receive with
your patch order.
Every uniform going to Jamboree must have the Jamboree Troop number.
Remove the troop number currently on the uniforms and replace them
with the Jamboree Troop Number patch. You already have two troop
number patches. You can get one more with your patch order.
Every uniform going to Jamboree must have your current rank on the
left pocket - if you are a first class Scout with a Second Class Rank
on your shirt please replace it with your current rank. We understand
many troops do not officially transfer rank patches until courts of
honor. For this trip all Scouts must be 1st class or above. Please ask
your troop for consideration on this point.
Every uniform going to Jamboree must have your Patrol Patch on the
right sleeve under the American Flag. Remove your current Patrol Patch
and replace it with the patrol patch your patrol agreed on at the
February Troop Shakedown.
Every uniform going to Jamboree must have the Jamboree Participation
Patch on the upper right-hand breast.
Every uniform of a Jamboree Patrol Leader up to Senior Patrol Leader
and All adult leaders must have their Jamboree position patch. If you
have a different leadership position patch remove it and replace it
with your Jamboree position. Assistant Patrol Leaders and Patrol
positions are welcome to have Jamboree postion patches on their
uniform but are not required. If they choose not too or do not have a
Jamboree position they must remove their current position patch (if
they have one).
OA Flaps are optional. All members of the OA should wear a lodge flap
but the standard lodge flap is fine.
