Hello Scouts and Scouters, Family and Friends of Troops 1632 and 1633,

Thank you for attending the Troop meeting on May 17th. All patches
have been ordered. We have ordered extra patches of each kind.

Arranging patrol patches for uniforms is the responsibility of each
patrol. The Council Scout Shop has patrol patches. All uniform shirts
must have their Jamboree Troop number. Any shirts beyond the three we
have Jamboree troop numbers will need to have the basic BSA troop
numbers you can get at the council office. All youth leaders must have
their position patch on all uniforms SPL, ASPL, Quartermaster, Scribe,
Patrol Leaders, and Assistant Patrol Leaders. We have the position
patches for three uniforms and will distribute them to the Youth
Leaders. Any uniforms beyond the first three the Scout needs to get
the patch at a Scout Shop.

All Scouts and Scouters must have a picture I.D. to get on the
Jamboree site. Fort A.P. Hill is an operationing military base. Any
government issued picture I.D. will do. These include and are not
limited to:

Drivers License
State I.D. card from the Department of Motor Vehicles
School I.D. card
U.S. Passport/Passport Card
City Recreation Center I.D. Card

T-Shirts/Hats have been ordered. When we get the patches we will send
out a message. Troop 175 will take care of orders on the West side of
town. Troop 42 will take care of orders on the East side of town and
all other locations. We will pass out the hats at the airport July
21st. Everyone must buy a hat and a troop t-shirt. Only our Jamboree
hat is allowed on the trip.

Everyone should have a large duffle bag and a small duffle bag. The
school backpack is the responsibility of each Scout/Scouter. You must
use only these three bags/pack for the Jamboree. When we know when/
where the large duffle bags will transport we will let you know. Each
Scout should pack their own bags and have them checked by a parent/
adult. The leadership of both troops will check the bags again before
we leave.

We will construct our gateway on June 5th at St. Andrews Church. We
will start at 8am. You are welcome to help, please call or email Harry
Bubeck 469-235-1257 or Ha...@TexasBubecks.com
to let him know you are coming.

We will load our troop equipment with the other troops from Circle Ten
council at Camp Wisdom July 17th at 8am. Plan on having your big
duffle bag packed by that date.

The senior youth leaders and patrol leaders for both troops will have
a meeting in early July to review the itinerary and program. Date and
location and time TBD.

Both troops leave on the same plane out of DFW on US Airways at 7am
July 21st. US Airways operates out of DFW Terminal E Gates 35-38.
Please report to the gate at DFW at 5am. Below is our flight

Please note Cleveland OH is one hour ahead of us (EST). The flight to
Cleveland is not three hours and twenty-two minutes. It is two hours
and twenty-two minutes. Expect only light snacks and beverages on the
flights.

Both troops leave at 7am on the same flight to Cleveland OH (CLT). In
Cleveland Troop 1633 gets off the plane and boards another plane to
LaGuardia (LGA). Troop 1632 stays on the plane and heads on to Newark
NJ (EWR). At each airport a travel agent will meet us and we will
board a private coach and immediately begin touring. Both troops will
tour seperately the same day seeing the same sights and probably meet
up sometime that day or at Rockefeller Center that night.

On August 4th Troop 1632 has a direct flight out of Ronald Reagan
Airport (DCA) to DFW. Troop 1633 flies out of Baltimore MD (BWI) with
a layover in Cleveland OH (CLT) to DFW.

No word yet on hotel stay in New Jersey or Washington D.C.
Please note Scout rooms will not have active phones. If a Scout
manages to rack up any incidentals they are his to pay upon check
out.

A communication sheet with troop leader contact info, council contact
info, Jamboree contact info including mailing address, and website
info will be distributed in July. All adult leaders will have cell
phones. Scouts will not have cell phones. All Scouts will be with an
adult leader with a cell phone at all times on the trip.

Your Scout(s) is about to go on the biggest (Scout) adventure of his
lifetime. The history, the sites, the sounds of 100 years of Scouting
will last a lifetime in their memory. They will have a fantastic time.
