Hello Scouts of Jamboree Troops 1632 and 1633, Parents, Family, and
Friends,

This weekend at Camp Wisdom will be a blast!

All Scouts must arrive by 9am at Camp Wisdom. Carpooling is
encouraged.

The adult leaders for both troops will arrive Friday afternoon and
spend the night.

Please come in full uniform and bring a Scout T-shirt or two for
activities and games.
Please bring standard camping gear for one night.

This is called a "Shakedown" because we will work through the set up
and operation of our campsite while at Fort AP Hill. We will camp in
Jamboree tents and by Patrols. We will set up the exact campsite
formation we will use at Jamboree. We will start working through our
youth leadership as they learn their responsibilities and take action.

Please eat breakfast before you arrive Saturday. This is an overnight
campout. Troops should dismiss around 12 Noon Sunday.

Please bring a mess kit (plate/bowl/fork/knive/cup). A standard BSA
issue is fine. Don't have that? A frisbee and a spork and a plastic
waterbottle will do the trick! (but get a complete one for Jamboree).

Please bring a poncho or rain gear.

We will start work on our gateway, we will get the dining area set up,
set out the cook schedule, have a campfire and games and patrols will
get to work together as they get to know each other. When everything
is set up each Scout will see how it will look at the Jamboree (minus
the gateway).

Our next Troop meeting is Monday May 17 at 7pm at St. Andrews
Presbyterian Church. You will get more stuff for the Jamboree, more
patches, and there will be other items we will distribute over the
Summer months or the day we take off for Jamboree. We will finalize
the itenerary and talk about packing.

We are told we have the first two flights out from DFW to NY. We do
not know if there are any layovers and we do not know what time the
flight is or the airline (just yet).

If you have any questions please email us at wbjam...@gmail.com
