Hi WhiskyGuru testers!

I wanted to share what the main focus is right now in the app development:

We’re working hard to simplify and enhance the check-in experience, which currently feels like it has too many steps. One idea we’re exploring is using barcode scanning to find bottles, which should make the process faster and smoother. The challenge is still getting enough accurate data, but this approach should make adding info much easier once the data is there.

Also, we’re going to remove the bottling series step. Instead, users will be able to search directly for bottlings, cutting out an extra step that hasn’t proven very helpful. You will still have to fill it in when your bottling does not exist(since we will need this data functionality wise).

Looking ahead, we plan to:

Fine-tune the profile page, including showing the number of likes/“Sainte” received.
Add an easy-to-use menu for browsing your own check-ins, so you can quickly find previous ratings or confirm if you’ve had a specific whisky before.
When adding a check-in, display your total number of check-ins and the number and average rating for that specific bottling.
