Quick online tool to overlay images with transparent adjustment. the text is in the color overlay column, and that is not the problem. The problem is that when I drag the photo I want there over, it goes underneath the row, and I cannot see the name of the photo, nor a way to replace the original photo.
Dave can you direct me to the post you are referring to above. I have spent the last few hours trying to put text on top of a photo as seen in some of your homepage templates. Were these template pages created on photoshop and then uploaded. Maybe that is just not one of the features here I was hoping for. I am a novice user. Know nothing about code. I just wanted a simple drag and drop builder.

That discussion is not about putting text on top of a photo, but allowing an image to be the background for a row - but of course there can be many things on top of the row.
You can add text on top of an image using the Content Slider - each one can have a header and text and there are settings for positioning the text.
What did you want to do? Did you want texts on top of the image? If you go to the Row/Column settings, there should be an option for background. Change that to Photo and set a photo for your background. You can then add a Text Editor module on top of that.
Yes Ben that is exactly what I want to do. So I just now did what you said. We are making progress. I edited the Row/Column settings and inserted photo and selected full because I wanted the image to be big but the image only fills up the row and only showing about 1 inches of the picture. When I hit save- the image disappears completely.
Noob here, but if you have a ninja V you can use the onion skin feature in the monitor....
Another completely unrelated option could be using your phone, theres an align feature if you are in reels on instagram that also allows you to overlay. G'luck!
The easy way to do it is to use Post Processing software, create layers and merge them. As long as you have all of the elements within your photos you can crop, burn etc to manage the result you want with far more control.
About the logo - are you scaling in Premiere? Best results will be obtained by making the .png the same size as the video frame, example 1920x1080, in Photoshop. Position and scale the logo as you want it to look in the final video. Maybe add some transparency at that point also by adjusting opacity? Then save the image with alpha. When you place it in Premiere sequence, you will not need to do any scaling/positioning at all and that will provide optimum overlay quality without aliasing or other issues.
Thanks @tferr! Regarding automating the tracing process, I tried automating the process initially, but my images seem to contain too much background noise for automation to be possible. There seems to be a greyish/blue overlay. You can see it at the top of the image. No matter where I go, I cannot remove it. It looks to be the background showing through. I am newer to squarespace, but have been a hand coder for years.
Panster -- The code does not work for me. I copied and pasted it exactly -- I am not a coder, is something missing? ??
Anyone -- Is there any other way to get rid of the light blue tint over the photos?? It is a Square Space issue that has no reason to be there, I don't understand
None of the solutions are working for me, I've tried different code from above and from other posts etc. Nothing works. I've also tried making the overlay white and also tried reducing and increasing the transparency to each extreme. Why isn't there a simple option to turn off the overlay? A simple search shows so many users having this issue and it's really discouraging to see this as someone who is new to this software. Btw, I'm using the ZORAYDA theme if that helps.
