Hi, friends,

I know many of you wish to support the Water Protectors at Standing Rock, ND.

Yesterday a friend told me about the Standing Rock wish list on Amazon, and this morning I had an email from our friend Kristine, whose 3 Native Veteran friends are driving up from Oregon tomorrow to assist at Standing Rock. Kristine is collecting cash for them to bring to donate, (so funds need to get to her today if you’re contributing in that way). In the meantime...

I called the ph# listed on the Amazon Standing Rock Medic and Healer Council wish list, and the gentleman said what is most helpful now is cash donations, so they can get some larger items they need.

He gave me this link as another way to donate funds:
money goes directly and immediately to the Medic and Healer Council at Standing Rock. It includes a 501c(3) deductible way to donate.
Their donation page is very helpful.

Oh, and recently I posted on twitter the exact text of the First Amendment to our Constitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion
or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;
or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press;
or the right of the people peaceably to assemble,
and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Feel free to share any portion of this that feels useful.

Love and blessings!
Jeanine

Hi Jeanine!

Thanks for sending this!  I tried to donate, but stopped after selecting an amount and choosing Paypal because the name of the recipient changed from Standing Rock Medic and Healer Fund to a name something like “Florida Wholistic Living Council. . . “

I didn’t like that switch, so I didn’t give at this site.

Love, Sally

Hi again Jeanine,

I found a giving website that folks might want to try.  Here, you’re actually giving to the tribe itself.

Hi, Sally,

I understand your wise caution. In case this is helpful, I feel very confident that this is an above board donation for these reasons:

#1 - It was the native who spoke to me on the phone directly and gave me that link (along with explanation on the site). (His ph# was given on the Amazon Standing Rock wish list page, which is

At this site
it says "Your donation is tax deductible and processed through our fiscal sponsor, the Florida School of Holistic Living (501c3). All funds are dispersed directly to our council to support our work on the ground in Standing Rock"

#4 - The donate link on the medichealer council page leads to this description
"Since April, people from hundreds of sovereign nations have gathered along the Cannonball River on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota to stand in resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline.

The Florida School of Holistic Living traveled to North Dakota in September to bear witness to the indigneous uprising, stand in solidarity, deliver herbal supplies, and lend our support. We quickly became involved, along with Herbal Action Network and Orlando Grief Care Project, in supporting the health and wellness of the 10,000 water protectors camped along the river in Cannonball, North Dakota, through our work with the Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council, a collaborative effort of volunteer medics, physicians, herbalists, and other healers set up at the multiple camps along the river.

While it’s not impossible that someone could create that much cross-referencing to appear legitimate, I’m convinced that this is a legitimate resource.

Thanks for your wisdom and generosity. I know our prayers and love are every bit as important as offering any other kinds of resources.

Thanks, Sally!

I’m exploring both of them for legitimacy.

I looked them up on

and the other was originated Sept. 24, 2016. This one Oct. 6, 2016.

I also wrote in on the page you sent me and asked which (of all the pages I cited in my other email) are legitimate.

It is difficult to sort out right now, and I appreciate your sharing this resource.

I’ll let you know if I get any definitive info.

Love,
Jeanine
