Hi Jeanine!
Thanks for sending this! I tried to donate, but stopped after selecting an amount and choosing Paypal because the name of the recipient changed from Standing Rock Medic and Healer Fund to a name something like “Florida Wholistic Living Council. . . “
I didn’t like that switch, so I didn’t give at this site.
Love, Sally

Hi again Jeanine,
I found a giving website that folks might want to try. Here, you’re actually giving to the tribe itself.

Subject: Standing Rock donations info from Medic & Healer Council
Hi, friends,
--
"Since April, people from hundreds of sovereign nations have gathered along the Cannonball River on the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota to stand in resistance to the Dakota Access Pipeline. The Florida School of Holistic Living traveled to North Dakota in September to bear witness to the indigneous uprising, stand in solidarity, deliver herbal supplies, and lend our support. We quickly became involved, along with Herbal Action Network and Orlando Grief Care Project, in supporting the health and wellness of the 10,000 water protectors camped along the river in Cannonball, North Dakota, through our work with the Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council, a collaborative effort of volunteer medics, physicians, herbalists, and other healers set up at the multiple camps along the river.
Florida School of Holistic Living provides fiscal sponsorship through our 501c3 nonprofit organization to the Standing Rock Medic & Healer Council, facilitating tax-deductible donation options for those wishing to support the important work of the council. Your donation of support is fully tax-deductible, and will go directly to support the needs of the Standing Rock Medic + Healer Council, including communication equipment to facilitate signal on-site at camp for more efficient supply and volunteer coordination, subzero weather infrastructure to keep medics, healers and their patients warm through winter, and equipment & supplies including backboards, medical gear, and herbal remedies."
Thanks, Jeanine!

Hi, Sally,
I understand your wise caution. In case this is helpful, I feel very confident that this is an above board donation for these reasons:
#1 - It was the native who spoke to me on the phone directly and gave me that link (along with explanation on the site). (His ph# was given on the Amazon Standing Rock wish list page, which is
#2 -
At this site
it says "Your donation is tax deductible and processed through our fiscal sponsor, the Florida School of Holistic Living (501c3). All funds are dispersed directly to our council to support our work on the ground in Standing Rock"
#3 - The PayPal donation I made showed this identifying info:
Florida School of Holistic Living
(medicheal...@gmail.com)
#4 - The donate link on the medichealer council page leads to this description
