to WHF Bulletin Board Board
Hi, friends,

I'm sending this to the WHF bulletin board because I'm not on Facebook, and I wanted to invite anyone who would like to come celebrate with me on Monday March 24th. Here are the details.

I'm looking forward to having a 2-part drop-in gathering for my birthday on Monday March 24th

Come for as much or as little as works into your life
It would help if you can let me know Yes, No, or Maybe as far as your thoughts of attending, and which or both parts.

Part I is something I am oh-so-excited about.
I want to tell you in person more about this part (but now I sort of gave it away).
For now, I'll say it involves meeting at my house between 3:30-4pm, then driving to Foothills Park (bottom of the hill in Lake Oswego, along the Willamette River; info in this link)
Or you can meet us at the Foothills Park covered structure between 4:15-4:30 ...DO let me know if that's your plan!
We will be
walk-dancing (a new sport, thanks to me and Celeste!),
so bring your music and head phones
You're welcome to bring any other doodads you like, such as hoola hoop, scarf to twirl, peacock feather to balance.
You can wear anything from sweat suit and parka to twirly skirt and sweater.
We'll have our walk-dance experience (you're welcome to just walk, just dance, or walk-dance as much of the time as you like) for 30-60 minutes and then head back to my house.
There are benches and bathrooms in the park.

P.S. I *might* have a YouTube walk-dance playlist that you can listen to if you're set up for that. (No guarantees. Depends on my time availability this week. I'll email it to you if I get one put together. OK, yes, there will be some tenors and a baritone on there - very nice relaxing! : )

Part II will be fun, too, though not as novel.
We'll be back to my house by 6pm (possibly before, but I'll say 6pm for anyone participating only in Part deux)
I'll have hot water for tea and mixings for juice spritzers, as well as a snack or two (probably my delicious nutritious trail mix as one).
I'm leaving it to you to bring something you would like to snack on, so we'll have a nice variety from the group and not be hungry during dinner hour. (I'll have party atmosphere until 9pm.)
This is our time to ...
~ relax
~ visit
~ enjoy a fire in the fireplace if it's cold out
~ munch
~ listen to music (and sing along?) if you like; you can even bring instruments to accompany
~ I'll have some materials for you to make something (if you wish) that expresses your joy, your choices, whatever you would like to express as we enter into spring of this new year.
Here's what I made on New Year's Day. So simple, yet it makes me smile whenever I see it. (I'll have collage materials, too.) This is totally optional.

There are a few rules:
a - You're not allowed to bring a physical gift unless it's a card or something to eat. (Remember, I've spent months clearing things Out of my house!)
b - You're only allowed to participate in activities that make you happy.
c - If you were planning to have some one-on-one time with me to celebrate our friendship and my birthday, this is not a substitute.  (; >)  It's just icing on the cake.

I so hope you can attend part or all of this 2-part play extravaganza!
(I know some of you are out of town, and you are still invited. You can play in your part of the world and pretend you were here with us.)
Oh, and you are welcome to bring a friend or partner
Just let me know for an approximate head-count.

I'll send directions when you reply.

Lots of Love,
Jeanine
