I see there is a way to sync out from Wheresthegig to a Google calendar, but what about the other direction?  i.e. From an existing Google Calendar into Wheresthegig.  We already have a fully-populated Google calendar and I'm attempting to avoid having to recreate all of those gigs manually.  Is there any way to do this?

Thanks!

Hi, Kenny.  I can see that would be very useful. But unfortunately, it's too unreliable as far as parsing the details.

However, there are a number of ways to make it very quick to do your gig entry.  If you tend to play at specific venues then you can create a gig template and
It will automatically fill in all your information for you.  This way, you can add a gig in just a few seconds.  Using the Calendar View rather than the list view may also make things faster.

And once you have your gig templates, you can enter all your gigs for a month in just a few seconds using the [ add gigs by month] action.  Let me know if you want more detail on this.

Thanks for the quick response... another import related question related to song lists.  I see there is a way to import a song list using column headers in my source file.  One thing that isn't clear... the headers you have in your sample file don't exactly match the field names I see in the New Song wizard.  How can I make sure that the columns in my source go into the fields in the app?  For example, you don't have a field in your sample import file that corresponds with Song File URL field.  I was going to input a song manually, fill out all of the fields, then do an export and hope the export file gave me the individual field names in the database... however I don't see a way to do a song list export.

Thanks again!
