Feed Gigs straight into Facebook

New to the WTG family,

I've been trying to set up so that gigs will post directly into facebook once they are confirmed. I'm trying to go in as a facebook calendar event. Been experimenting with Zapier and had to issues

1. The  Info For Public Calendar Entry  dose not seem to be available in the JSON Feed.

2. The posting by webhooks to facebook keeps coming up with errors so it dose not work.

Any Ideas from anyone?

Hi Gavin--

This is a bit of a sore spot for me.  Back in the day I had this awesome export capability from WheresTheGig to the Facebook event system using their API (a means to have software interoperate).  Well, Facebook disabled the event API system.

So, undaunted (but annoyed), I provided a way to display the upcoming gig list as a graphic image on the feed.   They kept modifying the API and requiring many hoops to jump through.  I finally just threw in the towel.  However, the capability to provide a graphic schedule is still available at the Export => Image Schedule page, where it will show you a URL to your schedule image that you can easily add to your Facebook timeline.

However, I got curious, and it looks like maybe they now do have an event API capability.  I'll put this on my TODO list.
