I can help to plan for WhereCamp 5280 next summer, or fall (2013). Not ideal for us for this year, but things have been too busy for me to really think about this until now.

UC Denver has the facilities, and I know how to sign-up for the facilities (now).

By the way, I haven't checked any conference dates for next year yet. What days/dates make sense for the WhereCamp 5280 get together? Maybe start by setting the date, and work from there?

In the interim...what about geo-Front Range holiday get together at the Wynkoop? Something informal between Thanksgiving and Christmas?

Multiple variables/questions? Can we manage it?

All the best,

Mike

MIke - Pretty good timing actually, but for a different conference.

I'm hosting a Geospatial Javascript conference in Jan. (16th) and am considering venues. I'm weighing pros and cons of various venues (cost vs uniqueness mostly) and have started to look at UCD as a pretty good option.

We literally planned this event in the last week so we've hardly gotten the word out but in short the idea is to get some of the best names in JS+Geo together and have a half day conference / half day unconference.

We've got good names already signed up and flying in for it. It will really rock. See the link here: http://geojs.eventbrite.com/

Do you think UDC is in play as a potential venue?

WhereCamp5280 is the unconference for people interested in the
intersection of Geography, Technology and Society.

Hello Chris-

Looks good.

UCD is definitely in play. The 16th is before the start of the semester; this is a good start. I can reserve a room on short notice, no problem.

I am a bit too busy to do much else in terms of planning right now.

Mike
