Basic example of set output log file

I have read all of the posts, but nobody provides a clear explanation.

On my schedule.rb I have created an output file where a command should be written to

set :output, "#{path}/taskstodo.log

every 5.minutes do
command "echo'hello'"
end

I would hav expected it to write to that file the word hello every 5 minutes. but nothing shows. What is wrong with my code?
