I spoke to Simon on Friday, and he indicated that he thought the
freehold sale was moving forward, and should be wrapped up in a few
months.
Is it worth us all meeting for a chat about it - maybe in the tavern
next door, or even in my flat if its easier?
I really don't know the legal in's and out's regarding the purchasing
etc - but a group chinwag could be useful?
Hi,
I’m not sure how many of the owners have been contacted; only a handful of ‘active’ participants from the response on the forum.
Can I suggest we have a quick meeting in the courtyard over the weekend (Saturday morning??), and then go an knock on some doors? If only to establish who is an owner, and if they’re interested – and who is a tenant, an whether they know how to find their landlord – or the agent they’re renting through?

Subject: Re: Newsdefinitely. I think we have to let them know whether we are interested in a group purchase within 2 months of them issuing notice. But i also think they have to have served that notice effectively to enough of the owners. do we know how may of the owners have been in contact through this group? A majority?Antonia and I are up for meeting either in one of the flats, or in the pub. We're around most nights so whenever is convenient for most.Piers

Nick,
One thought – as you’re on such good terms with Simon Anglin ( J ), might you be able to find out which properties in the block they still own?

We (Piers and Antonia) are actually flat 9, 22. But Dale and Colleen, who are either flat 8 or 10 (i'll check tonight) are interested. The guys who own the other (10 or 8) are in Dubai but I think we've got a number for them, so will call them. That would be getting us closer to a majority!
