Good morning,
Ken and I are going to go and bike Tuscany from Pisa to Florence. We will be doing this from October 2 through the 13. This is a trip that is self-guided point to point with stays at hotels. Breakfast is included every day on the bike. The company will rent both e-bikes and regular bikes, so we do not have to hassle with packing our bikes. the trip is billed as a level three difficulty meaning averaging 30 miles a day and about 600 meters of climbing. you can check out the bike trip and all the details at the website below.
I am happy to facilitate the trip meaning I have been in touch with the company and told them that my club is interested in this trip. Everyone who is interested will have to do their own booking through the tour company (I am working on a group discount so do not book until I have that discount code) and make their own plane ticket arrangements. I am happy to make recommendations on potentially inexpensive flights.
I have never been to Italy so I will not be your tour guide. I like self-paced trips because everyone can go at their own speed and we can meet up for sight-seeing and dinner in the afternoon. For those who have never been on such a trip it is on average about 4-5 hours in the saddle a day. And that is a very leisurely pace. Ken and I were on the bike by nine and arrived at our destination around 3 in the afternoon. That was with plenty of stops for pictures and snacking.
Ken and I are planning to book by next Sunday. Feel free to call or contact me for more information. This trip is open to anyone so feel free to bring friends.
Ken and I look forward to riding with you (or being passed up by you) in Tuscany!
