This is the new loop starting from DG Cooley.  This is a go for Thursday 12 June 2025.  Test ride went well last week.  It is a demanding ride.  Push is 18:00 (6:00 PM).

Group 1 - Will ride at about 22mph.  Be familiar with the loop before push.

Group 2 - How-to/instructional/B-group.  Ken Tenney leading.  If you have an interest, please let me know in advance of showing up.  There is nothing quite like a well-executed paceline ride.  The turn, the pace, the camaraderie.  That said, it's simply not for everyone.  My mobile is 540 664 8435.  Expected pace for this loop is about 17-19 mph.

For everyone, please note there are some road defects on the route.  RE:  a few potholes, esp. near Summit Point inbound, and asphalt displacement from braking in hot conditions (that is, it's lumpy in spots).  Caution is needed, esp. when one-handing the bars for a drink or other.

I've heard from an old friend, Guillaame Pourtalet.  He will be in town from Bordeaux, France, and is coming out.  He used to do the old No Mercy version of this ride 15yrs ago.  If you know him, come out and say hello!

Thanks,

Ken Tenney

This ride is still a go tonight.  Yes, it's hot.
