Dear Wheelmen,

My father's friend, Don Ross, is cycling from Fairbanks Alaska to Washington DC in an effort to bring attention to global warming (of course he's doing this in -15C weather).  I thought you might enjoy this article and the photo.  Check out the gloves...

Ross was a pilot during the Vietnam War and since the war has lived in Alaska, working for a time as a government employee and then as a self-employed bush pilot.  He's a real character and his skills as a pilot allowed my father to get some phenomenal pictures of glaciers, mountains, etc. without risking their lives (too much).
