Impromptu Ride - Saturday, September 5, 8am Start

Hello Fellow Wheelmen Members,

We are planning the "pen-ultimate" training ride for the upcoming Civil War Century - screw in your climbing legs for this one :-)

This will be a 65 mile loop with approx. 4600 ft  of elevation gain (I would not be surprised if the "real life" elevation is closer to 5000- 5200 ft) - not as long as the previous rides but featuring two "serious" climbs.

Due to the challenging terrain I am expecting an average pace between 14 and 15mph.

There will be two opportunities to replenish supplies and one additional "Porta Potty" - all marked in the RWGPS file.

Start: Saturday, September 5, 8am from 127 Lake Serene Drive, Winchester, VA 22603

Please let me know if you are planning to join (current, unpredictable weather patterns might make changes necessary)
