hey everyone, long time with little activity here.
So I need to know if anyone can help me find a new cylinder and piston
head, or can direct me to a place where I can find one.
Ive got the classic Koosko model, and I had an engine repair guy come
look at it today and tell me that its got no compression.
but I have neither the time not the money to stick an entire new
engine in it, i Just want to get it up and running.
thanks, Dustin.

Or if any of you are willing to sell me stock parts that would be
great too

The Eton Rascal parts are the closet you can get to the original
Koosko engine parts.

http://www.etonparts.com/rascal_ixl_40.htm

These are in no way guaranteed to work with the Koosko engine, but the
parts are kinda like cousins/descendants of the koosko engine. You
might get lucky?

That being said... not to rain on your parade but a new cylinder and
piston head will cost you almost as much as a new engine. Especially
if it's original Koosko stock parts.

A few people on here including myself have had success with this
engine ($250)
http://www.davesmotors.com/s.nl/c.885035/n.1/it.A/id.4506/.f

It fits the koosko ... but it has a few issues though:
-You need to either get a new gas tank or modify the existing one
since the engine's bracket mounts are in the way of the tank.
-Also you need to find a new way to mount the engine since the old
engine bracket wont fit, but besides the bracket the engine fits very
well.
-Also the spark plug is in the way of the top delron rod, that needs
to be modded.
-Also you need to either mount the muffler it comes with upside or get
a new exhaust.

Actually this thing is a bitch to get in there. But most the mods to
make it fit are minor and can be done with few/household tool's and
cheap/no extra materials.

If you can't find eton replacement parts and dont want to go the gp460
route you could always find an old 2stroke weedwhacker engine and
maybe youll get lucky and it will fit?

Keep me updated and I'll try to help

-Kev

thank you for the tips. I considered the gp460, but after hours of
online hunting seem to have found a potential cylinder that may work,
http://cgi.ebay.ca/Gas-Scooter-Mini-Pocket-Bike-Big-Bore-Kit-43-49cc-Parts-/180411400880?cmd=ViewItem&pt=LH_DefaultDomain_100&hash=item2a015b82b0#ht_3705wt_911
So Ive ordered that and an x-can as well as a new carburetor.Im a
little hesitant to replace the entire engine at this point.
So I hope I will be able to get it up and running in the near future.
I plan on taking pictures and sharing. So now all I have to do is wait
a few weeks for the parts to arrive.
then we can all have some new material to look at in this group.
Also has anyone gotten the 2009 knockoff?
I emailed the guy and he told me $580.
I dont think it would be worth it as ive only had my koosko and from
what I hear they are garbage.

have any of you seen this website
http://wheelman.xxxxxxxx.jp/remodeling.html
its in translated Japanese but the guy has pictures of the steps of
him modding his wheelman.
very good site
