Interested in building one

I'd like to build one of these guys, does anyone know where I can get some parts? I'm really just interested in the wheels, since the frame, engine, etc. can all be replaced (and probably will be), I also haven't found a good place for a control cable like the Wheelman uses.

I'm more interested in putting together an electric version of one of these, and think just doing it from the ground up with the wheels would be a better idea than retrofitting an electric drive assembly into one.  Plus the 500$ price point is a little steep for me.

Anyone know where to get replacement parts for these things? Or know of someone with a bare bones frame for sale? I'm interested in it as a hobby/tinkering project, so broken isn't a huge deal.

Or, I guess, if there's a similar product out there with more user base and items, I'd be fine hearing about that, I just like the two wheel, snowboard style of this thing and haven't found anything else like it.
