Creating Vitality

Colloquium on Thursday, February 19, 2009.

A new year! The perfect time to start thinking about creating
healthful vitality in all areas of your life. There will be three
presentations from three different disciplines making for a wonderful
evening of information.

Peter Eschwey, L.Ac, DAOM is a Doctor of Chinese Medicine and Herbal
Therapy. He will demonstrate some Qigong forms that will allow the
energy or life force to move to revitalize your body.

Michael Oyster, LPC, CADC III and Isabella Vickers Knight, MA will
guide you in a poetic journey to bring your past experiences and
wisdom forward, creating vitality through integration. So often,
repeated cycles of experience haunt us as we try to escape their
grasp. Through a few poems and an exploration of their significance,
Michael and Isabella will offer a process to turn imprisoning patterns
into freedom's gateway. When this shift happens, the energy used to
defend oneself is then freed to find and follow one's wisdom for
healing and health. Michael and Isabella are Jungian-oriented
therapists who specialize in facilitating authentic dialogues within
oneself as well as between couples, families, and parents. They work
together or separately with you, depending on your needs and interests
to support growth and vitality through word, image, music, and dream.

Alan Silverstein, LMT, is a licensed massage therapist specializing in
helping people with injuries and chronic pain. After a thorough
intake and postural analysis, he works with his clients to determine
the best combination of massage techniques to heal, calm and
revitalize. He will talk about the use of Active-Isolated Stretching
techniques that can be done by clients to increase joint flexibility
and range of motion. These are simple but powerful techniques that
Alan incorporates into his massage practice.
