Sita Apaharan Case – 7 pm
A stinging satire on the police-neta-criminal nexus. It begins with a peep into the lives of a Thanedaar and his Thanedarni. Steeped in hypocrisy, both look forward to bringing home the spoils of a case. They are joined by the local politician. The charade continues into the police station, with the constable, a willing participant in each glorified crime. Corruption is so deeply entrenched in their minds that they fail to recognize truth and honesty even when they come face to face with it: Ram and Lakshman in their search for the lost Sita arrive at the police station, only to find themselves being accused of pimping and murder!

A crazy mindless comedy on the shenanigans of the two lovable rogues Salim & Javed; brothers (and beggars)-in-arms, who try every trick in their begging bowls to swindle food and money out of the pockets and kitchens of every household in the neighborhood. They come across the warring couple: Ismile Bhai and Pasha Bi who’ve prepared Biryani and Haleem for the local nawab, unaware that that Javed and Salim are waiting in the wings.
