Screening of Bergman's The Virgin Spring.

This Thursday 6th Feb at 6.30 pm, we are screening The Virgin Spring (1960, 89 mins), directed by Ingmar Bergman.

Winner of the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1961, this Bergman directed movie has Max Von Sydow in the lead role of a father.

Set in 14th-century Sweden, an innocent yet pampered teenage girl and her family's pregnant and jealous servant set out from their farm to deliver candles, but only one returns from events that transpire in the woods along the way. The film deals with themes like guilt, vengeance,paganism, faith and more.
