Tribute to David Lynch

Greetings from the Cinephile Film Club! 

This Thursday, January 23rd, at 6.30 pm. as a tribute to David Lynch who passed away recently, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of The Straight Story (1999,110 mins).

One of the most influential filmmakers of the generation, this film was slightly different from the director's repertoire. Based on a true story, it is about an elderly man (Richard Farnsworth, who won a lot of praise and an Oscar nomination for his performance) who embarks on a 300-mile journey on a lawn mower, to see his brother. Stunningly shot in widescreen, the film has been hailed for its touching story
