Winner of the Jury Prize at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013, the film also won commendation from the Ecumenical Jury and several audience awards at festivals. Directed by Hirokazu Koreeda, the modern auteur from Japan, who won the Palm d'Or for Shoplifters (2018), this is a heart-warming story about two families who discover that their sons were switched at birth in the hospital. They have to decide then if they should take the biological son or the one they have brought up.
