This Thursday,19th June at 6.30 pm, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of The Day of the Jackal (1973, 141 mins), as a tribute to novelist Frederick Forsyth, who passed away earlier this month.
Inspired by the 1971 novel by Forsyth, the film is about a professional assassin referred to as the "Jackal," who is contracted to eliminate French President Charles de Gaulle during the summer of 1963. This thriller was one of the biggest hits of its time, and Edward Fox made a name for himself in the lead role of the Jackal.
