Screening of 'The Beaches of Agnes'

Greetings from the Cinephile Film Club!

With Women's Day being celebrated this Thursday,12th March at 6.30 pm, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of the award-winning documentary, The Beaches of Agnès (1hr 52 mins), as a tribute to one of the greatest filmmakers of all time, Agnès Varda, who broke the glass ceiling.  

Varda’s most personal and inventive works feature the legendary filmmaker herself as guide and storyteller. Blending autobiography, film clips, photographs, and playful staged scenes, the documentary traces Varda’s life. Moving across beaches that symbolize different chapters of her life, Varda reflects on memory, creativity, love, and the passage of time. Whimsical, reflective, and deeply human, the film becomes both a self-portrait and a meditation on art and remembrance.
