Greetings from the Cinephile Film Club!

Please note, there will be no screening this Thursday, 19th Mar.

On 26th Mar at 6.30 pm  Sachin Chatte will host the screening of the classic epic, The Bridge on the River Kwai (2 hrs 41 mins).

Directed by David Lean, this film, which won 7 Academy Awards, is set during World War II and follows British prisoners of war forced by their Japanese captors to build a railway bridge in Burma. As tensions rise between duty, pride, and survival, the film explores complex themes of honor, obsession, and the human cost of war. With unforgettable performances by William Holden, Alec Guinness, Jack Hawkins and breathtaking storytelling, the film stands as a landmark in cinematic history.
