Screening of 'Drifting Clouds'

Greetings from the Cinephile Film Club! This Thursday, 10th July at 6.30 pm, Sachin Chatte will host the screening of the Finnish film Drifting Clouds (with English subtitles, 95 mins) directed by the acclaimed filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki. 

Kaurismäki's films are like no other -as Ebert said, he puts the 'dead' in deadpan. While there is an underlying seriousness in his films, which is usually about the common person crushed by society, the films are very uplifting and funny in their own right.  Drifting Clouds is about a loving couple who are going through a hard time. But there is always a sunny side in Kaurismäki's films to bring a smile to your face, including a dog.
