Screening of 'Women on the verge of a nervous breakdown'

Greetings from the Cinephile Film Club !

This Thursday, 29th May, 6.30 pm. we are screening  the Spanish film, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown (Spanish with English subtitles, 89 mins) directed by Pedro Almodovar at 6.30 p.m. at Cinephile Film Club, Panjim.

The first film to put the acclaimed  film maker Pedro Almodovar in the international limelight, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown was nominated for the Oscar in the Best Foreign Film category in 1988. The film is primarily about a television actress whose boyfriend has left her, there are a bunch of people surrounding her, all of them have complex relationships resulting in one comic and farcical situation leading to another. The film also made Antonio Banderas popular, it was one of his earlier films.
