Dear Friends,

 

The former Indian Ambassador to Egypt, Amb. Alan Nazareth, will be launching Arabic edition of his notable book on Mahatama Gandhi titled ‘Gandhi’s Outstanding Leadership’.  This book has been widely acclaimed including by former President of India A.P.J. Abdul Kalam and US President Barack Obama. It has already come out in ten Indian languages as also in Spanish, Portuguese, Mandarin, Korean & Bahasa Indonesia.

 

Among other accolades, Mr. Nazareth was presented the U Thant Peace Award by the Sri Chinmoy Meditation Group at the United Nations, for his ‘Life Time of Dedication and World Service by promoting the Gandhian Values of Truth, Non Violence, Communal Harmony and  Humanitarian Service’. Some of the previous recipients of this Award are Pope John Paul II, The Dalai Lama, Mother Theresa, Mikhail Gorbachev, Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Ambassador Nazareth had also delivered the keynote address at the International day of Non Violence event at the United Nations in New York on 2 October 2012.

 

I am pleased to enclose an invite for the launch of highly acclaimed book ‘Gandhi’s Outstanding Leadership’ by Ambassador P.A. Nazareth on 18 September 2014 at 6.15 p.m. at Supreme Council of Culture, Cairo Opera House Complex.    Ambassador Nazareth will also deliver a lecture on ‘Gandhi, Egypt and Palestine'.
