The Maulana Azad Centre for Indian Culture (MACIC), Embassy of India, Cairo
will be celebrating the Vishwa Hindi Diwas or World Hindi Day on 10 January
2012 (Tuesday) at 5.30 p.m  at its premises at 23, Talaat Harb Street, Down
Town Cairo.

 Since 2006, to propagate the use of Hindi abroad, the World Hindi Day is
celebrated by Indian Embassies the world over.

 The programme on 10 January, 2012  will include speeches in Hindi,
recitation of Hindi poetry, recounting of experiences,  jokes as well as
rendering of Hindi songs and Indian dance by Indians and Egyptians. The
programme is being organized with the active support of the Egypt-India
Friendship Association and members of the Indian community in Egypt.
