All the streamers that I've watched have said the Plus+ is good, but are a bit light on actual details for me, and are often reviewing it after a day or two at most. I know most of the people who read this sub who were going to buy the thing probably already have it, but for anyone still on the fence: here's my analysis after owning it for a week and using primarily the auto-throw function. Also, I don't care if you buy it or not - I have no referral link - so this information will hopefully be unbiased.

- I'm assuming everyone knows "how" it works so I'm going to skip that. Watch a streamer for more surface details on how it interacts with the game. The one piece I will highlight though, is: it really is that simple to set up.

- The one annoying thing about using it day-to-day is that - extremely on-brand for Pokemon Go - the number of menus you have to deal with in order to change any settings is stupid. Switching from auto-throw to great-ball manual throws requires clicking through 4 menus. It's enough that you probably want to just pick one and turn it on/off instead of switching a lot.

- LIKE ALL BLUETOOTH DEVICES: this device will sometimes just decide to turn off or not work. This happens at literally any time, although less often when it's actively being used, but especially if it doesn't do anything for a while. Fortunately it can be re-synced quickly in-app, or at worst, you need to also push the button on the device. 30 seconds, tops.

- *Update: I originally thought it didn't function during medal and egg popups, but I have since had it work through these. I've specifically seen it ignore pokemon when medals pop up before, but I suppose this was due to it just stopping working, and not the medal... although when I cleared the medal, it worked again. I am going to say this is at best inconsistent in my experience. Also, seeing new pokemon (not in your dex) will cause it to pause for a very long time before moving on.

- It still works when the game is minimized... some of the time. I have even been playing my alt account on a separate Go install while my minimized main account is still spinning gyms and catching (missing) for me. This is not consistent, unfortunately, and may depend on your phone's Bluetooth settings and memory. More testing is probably needed to find out if this will work for you.

- It does not catch pokemon while going "too fast" - but it does spin poke stops! However, there is a minimum about of time that it needs to interact with a stop in order for it to actually get items. (This can be confusing, since it will buzz like it's connecting, but then simply not get items.) In my experience, I can be going up to about 30 MPH* and still get a spin to count. Past that, and it will not actually interact long enough to give items.*Updated - it's lower than I originally thought. You honestly have to be going pretty slowly - not too much faster than the 22MPH you can go for it to catch.
