Google: wet iPhone bag of rice
Don't dry your iPhone in a bag of rice, says Apple
----
The Apple support document:
If you see a liquid-detection alert on your iPhone
https://support.apple.com/en-us/102643
Stuff to do:
Basically just let it dry out.
Maybe charge it magnetically (wireless) if you need to
Stuff not to do:
- Don’t use an external heat source or compressed air.
- Don't insert a foreign object, such as a cotton swab or a paper
towel, into the connector.
- Don’t put your iPhone in a bag of rice. Doing so could allow small
particles of rice to damage your iPhone.

Along the trail to finding that support document:
https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-68357165
All Apple devices from the iPhone 12 onwards are able to withstand
immersion up to a depth of six metres, for up to half an hour.
("devices" means phones?? or *all* apple devices??)
----
Putting your wet iPhone in rice to dry it is a bad move, Apple warns
But we know you’re going to do it anyway.
