AHA!! Your usual impeccable timing .. Ever since the iPhone came out,
my Bourne shell and vi mind has been sliding further and further
behind on keeping up with the iOS user interface, not to mention the
whole Apple ecosystem.

I just went from an iPhone 6s to a 13, and right at the top of my to
do list is to become fluent, or at least develop a high level, tourist
grade facility with iOS and all its mysterious taps and swipes and
inscrutable icons.

Touching an iPhone screen is as nerve wracking as being root and
trying to decide whether or not to hit return :-) :-)

Me too I just upgraded from a iPhone 6s to a 13 mini.

Different for sure and got an Apple Watch ⌚️ / iPad for my love audio work.
