Here’s a new troubleshooting ebook from Take Control.

Cheers,
Mac

I’m very excited today to announce my latest book, Take Control of Solving Mac Problems. This brand new title replaces, updates, and extends three earlier (and long-outdated) books of mine: Take Control of Maintaining Your Mac, Take Control of Troubleshooting Your Mac, and Take Control of Speeding Up Your Mac. It’s a thorough reference that will help you prevent or solve a wide variety of problems with your Mac.
We all encounter problems with our Macs from time to time. Sometimes the fix is as simple as quitting an app or restarting the Mac, while other times the process of diagnosing and fixing what’s wrong can be long and frustrating, even for Mac power users. This detailed, 188-page book distills my decades of experience in troubleshooting, teaching you how to think like a technician and tackle each problem systematically. The book includes 14 useful troubleshooting techniques that you can apply to a wide range of issues, ready-to-use solutions to 25 common Mac problems, and guidance for debugging novel or unusual problems. It also includes chapters on preventive maintenance and speeding up a slow Mac.
Book Cover
Even if your Mac is running beautifully right now, it pays to be prepared with tools and techniques to both keep it healthy and address any misbehavior that may arise. I think you’ll find this new book, which is even up to date with the latest betas of macOS 15 Sequoia, to be an invaluable guide. It covers all Macs that either are running or could run macOS 11 Big Sur or later; see the book’s catalog page for a complete list.

Warm regards,

Joe Kissell

Thanks, Mac. Good timing. I've managed to get light years behind in the Apple ecosystem the last few years and I'm now starting the effort to get current ... Actually "current" is too strong a word, maybe familiar is more accurate.

Someone once said that "Life is just one damn thing after another," and it's taking awhile to get past the aftermath.
