A Career Guided by Transhumanism

Hello!

My name is Brian. My mission is to meet the eventual singularity with the hopes of surviving the transition to a post human world.

I formulated this mission in 2014. 4 months ago, guided by this mission, I landed a job as software engineer at Amazon. I'm grateful for the opportunity, and I feel closer to reaching my mission than ever before.

Despite this, I'm unsure what to do next. I find myself going through "cycles" of passion about certain technologies (Robotics, BCIs, XR, Blockchain). Something peaks my interest, I develop a huge obsession with it, then over time I get analysis paralysis and on the traditional job path. This repeats when I discover something new about another technology. Right now it's robots.

I'm still very interested in these technologies, and others. The problem is, the transhumanist project is very big, and multidisciplinary, which makes it hard for me to settle on one particular thing. Also, I'd ideally like to own my source of income/business, even if I keep my job.

Right now, these are my ideas:

• start a blog/podcast/youtube channel focused on cutting edge technologies
• buy a robot operated restaurant (1-2 year goal)
• transfer to a team at amazon (or another company) working on robots or xr

I suppose I can do one or all of these over the next few years. But before I set out on any major years-long projects, I want to do some soul searching to make sure I'm putting myself in the best position to achieve my mission.

Anyways, do you have any thoughts? My question is: What's the best possible thing I can do to prepare for/accelerate a post human future?

Also, do you know of any transhuman discord servers that are very popular?
