Lost fishing rod

Dear Whatipu friends,
My dad lost his fishing rod at the Whatipu entrance beside little stream. We were returning to our car from fishing yesterday, 7 Feb around 11am. He saw a New World plastic bag floating in the stream and picked it up with his fishing net. The plastic rubbish bag was removed from the stream but he left his fishing rod behind. He was carrying his fishing rod with the net somehow he forgot the rod when he cleaned the stream with his net.
