Twin Sisters Mobile Market (TSMM) is a mobile farmers market that aggregates vegetables, fruit, meat/fish, eggs/dairy, and more from 15+ local farms and sells it to four food desert communities on a weekly basis using our solar-powered market truck. TSMM is farmer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit founded in 2015 with the twin goals of providing fresh, affordable food to Whatcom County food desert communities while supporting the small-scale farms that grow it.
The Executive Director (ED) provides leadership for TSMM's strategy, operations, fundraising, and community relationships. Working closely with the Board of Directors, the ED advances TSMM’s mission, ensures financial and organizational sustainability, supervises the Market Manager, and serves as the organization’s primary ambassador.
This is a part-time role ideal for an organized, relationship-driven leader with a passion for food access, local agriculture, and community resilience. There is potential for this position to grow into a full-time role over time, dependent on organizational growth and the Executive Director’s success in fundraising and grant development.
