Hello everyone,

 

Apologies for the late notice. I’m forwarding a couple great, last-minute opportunities for scholarships for pre-approved business development courses. These opportunities are being provided by the USDA Northwest and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center. These are limited scholarships, so please apply ASAP.

  1. WA Food and Farm Business Technical Assistance Opportunity 

Audience: Small and mid-scale food and farm businesses

The WA team of the NWRM Regional Food Business Center is accepting applications for select technical assistance activities before September 15. This is a limited opportunity for businesses to participate in technical assistance opportunities free of charge. Applicants will be approved on a first-come, first-serve basis.

  • This opportunity is designed for small and mid-scale farm and food businesses in Washington State
  • Businesses can pick from a pre-approved list of technical assistance opportunities

  1. Range Meat Academy

Audience: Meat producers and processors interested in meat cutter and meat clerk professional development.

 

The NW and Rocky Mountain Regional Food Business Center Meat Team (NWRM RFBC) and the Range Meat Academy are partnering to offer a final round of discounted registrations for the online Range® Meat Bundle from the Range Meat Academy. The bundle includes the Meat Cutter and Meat Clerk certificate courses. Available in English and Spanish.

 

Cost: After the discount, you will pay just under $140 for the course bundle (valued at $550!)

 

Process: To redeem the discount, you will need to request a code. Please email your interest in the Meat Course with your name, address, business and/or tribal meat enterprise affiliation at: tmb...@montana.edu and hunter.b...@colostate.edu.

Timeline: Registration must be completed by September 10th and will require a promo code when checking out to receive the discount. Course completion must occur before December 31st, 2025.
