Dearest Farmers,

 

We are heartbroken about the loss of crops, property, shelter, and livelihoods that many folks in Whatcom County are experiencing due to the recent floods.

 

• We have been reaching out to farm partners in different parts of the county to assess the damages and needs from our farming community.
• We have heard reports from many folks in Everson and some in Sumas about severe effects from the storms.
• We are convening local partners to see how we can best work together to raise funds for ongoing flood relief efforts.
• We are collaborating with statewide partners to share information and resources broadly.
